Ince & Co has hired Martin David as its Asia energy head from DLA Piper, where David led its Asia projects team.

David, who joins Ince’s Singapore office, advises on large-scale projects, particularly in the onshore power and clean energy sectors across Asia. He has advised lenders including commercial and investment banks, multilateral institutions, corporates and sponsors.

After spending 21 years with Linklaters, including a decade at its Singapore office, David joined DLA Piper in 2008. In recent years, he has worked on projects in Mongolia, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore and Sri Lanka.

“Martin joins Ince in Singapore as we continue to expand the breadth of services we offer to the global energy industry,” said Ince & Co’s global head of energy, Jeremy Farr, in a statement. “Martin has an outstanding reputation for projects work in Asia which he has developed over 20 years. His knowledge and expertise will be of great benefit to our clients.”

Additionally, Ince has promoted London-based Rania Tadros to partner. Tadros is expected to relocate to Dubai this summer.
