Indian law firm IndusLaw has hired M&A lawyer Revathy Muralidharan as a partner in its Mumbai office from J. Sagar Associates, and also established a separate office in the city for its litigation practice.

The opening of the new office comes months after the firm hired an eight-lawyer team from HSA Advocates, including partners Amit Jajoo and Sushmita Gandhi. IndusLaw currently has three litigation partners in Mumbai.

Muralidharan’s core practice areas include mergers & acquisitions and private equity investments. She also specializes in general corporate commercial, domestic and cross-border investments, corporate restructuring, employment and compliance.

She spent five years with JSA across its Gurgaon and Chennai offices, before which she had stints at Trilegal, Chennai boutique HSB Partners and as an independent counsel at the Madras High Court.

With the arrival of Muralidharan , IndusLaw currently has 36 partners and more than 130 associates across its four offices in Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
