Indian law firm JSA has named partners Rupinder Malik (L) and Varghese Thomas to its newly reconstituted executive committee and announced that joint managing partners Amit Kapur and Vivek Chandy will continue in their roles for three more years.

Malik and Thomas replace partners Amar Gupta and Upendra Sharma on the five-member executive committee. The other three members are Kapur, Chandy, and partner Dina Wadia.

Malik, a corporate partner based in Gurugram, has more than 25 years of experience, including more than a decade at JSA. Her primary practice areas are corporate, M&A, private equity, and white-collar crime.

Thomas, a disputes expert based in Mumbai, focuses on handling matters related to the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and debt recovery proceedings.

JSA’s executive committee, which has a three-year tenure, forms the senior leadership team of the firm with responsibility for the overall management, developing and implementing the firm’s growth strategy, and managing the firm’s operations.

JSA currently has more than 350 lawyers across its seven offices.
