Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT), the associate firm of Herbert Smith Freehills in Indonesia, has appointed dispute and debt restructuring specialist Debby Sulaiman as a partner in Jakarta.

An HBT alumna, Sulaiman’s field of expertise includes complex and transnational commercial disputes, antitrust and antimonopoly disputes, construction disputes and regulatory and compliance issues. She also has experience in handling complex domestic and multijurisdictional disputes and cases dealing with aviation. 

She was previously a partner at Oentoeng Suria & Partners, Ashurst's associated Indonesian firm. Before that, she was seconded by O'Melveny & Myers as a partner at Jakarta-based firm Tumbuan & Partners.
