Indian law firm J Sagar Associates (JSA) has brought two salaried partners on board - Pallavi Bedi, who joined the firm from Mayer Brown in London, and Rupinder Malik, who joined from Baker and McKenzie in Thailand.
Bedi, who practices in the areas of projects as well as banking and finance, specialises in oil and gas, mining, renewable energy and project financing. She has advised on diverse energy projects, such as LNG (including sale and purchase agreements), mining projects (including mining agreements and off- take agreements), and upstream developments (including production-sharing contracts and joint operating agreements). She was with Mayer Brown in London for four years before joining JSA.
“Pallavi is a valuable addition to the advisory team at JSA, and our clients will benefit from the wealth of her experience. Her coming on board will enhance and add value to the firm’s already well established projects practice,” said Jyoti Sagar, founding partner of JSA, in a statement.
Meanwhile, Malik specialises in general corporate commercial, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory and policy. She has extensive experience in corporate commercial matters, having represented and advised several multinational corporations in M&A and joint venture deals across numerous industrial sectors. She has also advised on competition, customs, international trade and WTO-related matters, and is experienced in litigation. ALB
