Khaitan & Co has hired partner Ganesh Prasad in Bangalore from Amarchand & Mangaldas, as part of an effort to focus more on South India.

With more than 11 years of experience in M&As and private equity, Prasad has also advised clients on technology law, acquisition and  structured financing, real estate, employment and taxation. According to a Khaitan press release, he will be playing a “significant role in developing the corporate practice of the firm, with a special focus on strengthening the firm’s practice in South India.”

In addition, Raj Panchmatia has joined Khaitan as an associate partner. Panchmatia, who will be based in Khaitan’s Mumbai office, has more than 10 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
