King & Spalding has hired construction disputes specialist Emerson Holmes as partner in Singapore from Jones Day, just over a year after he joined that firm from Nabarro.
Holmes joins King & Spalding’s Asia-Pacific disputes team and will advise on infrastructure projects in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He focuses his practice on disputes arising out of power plants and offshore oil and gas installations. He also specializes in international arbitration and appears as an advocate before the courts of Australia, England and Hong Kong.
“Emerson is an excellent addition to our firm,” said John Savage, managing partner of King & Spalding’s Singapore office in a statement. “We already have lot of construction disputes on our books in Asia and Emerson will be instrumental in growing that business. He has a rare mix of technical construction law expertise, advocacy skills and entrepreneurial flair.”
At Nabarro, Holmes headed the firm’s Singapore office before his departure to Jones Day.
