King & Spalding has rehired finance lawyer Zaid Al-Farisi as partner at its Riyadh and Dubai offices from Confluent Law Group in Iraq, where he was managing partner.

Al-Farisi, who worked as counsel in New York and Riyadh from 2009 to 2011, will aid in the development of the firm’s finance practice in the Middle East. He will collaborate with the firm’s Middle East finance team, as they seek to attract clients like Saudi-based Islamic conventional and financial institutions, investment funds and family investment companies.

We are pleased to welcome Zaid back to the firm. His considerable prior experience in Saudi and Iraq will enhance our finance offering in the Middle East,” said Jawad I. Ali, managing partner of King & Spalding’s offices in the Middle East, in a statement.
