Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan (L&S) has brought taxation veteran H. Raghavendra Rao on board as executive partner in its direct taxes division. He will be functioning as the country head and leading the direct taxes practice at the firm.

Rao has more than 30 years of experience in direct taxes and constitutional matters, and has regularly appeared in the Supreme Court and various High Courts.

Before joining L&S, Raghavendra Rao was with BMR Legal since 2005 prior to which he was the senior standing counsel with the income tax department.

L&S has also appointed Anirban Das as its new Chief People Officer. Das brings more than 11 years of professional experience at global professional services firms like Ernst & Young, Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers with him. He will be heading the people agenda of the firm nationally.
