Indian law firm Trilegal has hired labour and employment lawyer Veena Gopalakrishnan as a partner in Bengaluru from AZB & Partners.

With 14 years of experience in employment law advisory, Gopalakrishnan offers advice relating to workforce structuring, employee mobility and employee benefits. She has also worked with organisations and industry bodies to create awareness of workplace sexual harassment, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and diversity and inclusion.

Gopalakrishnan becomes Trilegal’s eighth announced partner hire in 2022 alone, following the additions of disputes lawyer Rajat Jariwal from Khaitan & Co, tax specialist Meyyappan Nagappan from Nishith Desai Associates, disputes expert Shalaka Patil from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, competition lawyer Rudresh Singh from L&L Partners, corporate expert Pranav Atit from AZB & Partners, and disputes specialists Anuj Berry from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Vishrov Mukerjee from J Sagar Associates.

The firm now has 87 partners in total. This year, it also lost partner Harsh Pais to Allen & Overy.
