Malaysian law firm Azmi & Associates has promoted Moo Eng Thing and Ahmad Syahir Yahya to its partnership in Kuala Lumpur.

Moo, who has eight years of experience in corporate, capital markets, private equity and M&A, has become a partner in the firm’s Capital & Debt Markets Group. Meanwhile, Ahmad Syahir, who has become a partner in the Financial Services Group, has seven years of experience in mostly Islamic banking, Islamic banking derivative products and cross-border banking and finance.

The two promotions take the number of partners at Azmi & Associates to 16, out of 52 lawyers.
