Proskauer Rose has recruited corporate finance expert Joshua Zimmerman as partner at its Hong Kong office. Previously with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, he is expected to head Proskauer’s capital markets practice in Asia.

Zimmerman specialises in transactions such as liability management, Asian high-yield bond, sovereign debt as well as acquisition and leveraged finance. His clients include international investment banks, PE funds and issuers active in TMT, aviation, education, gaming, retail, manufacturing, property development and natural resources.  He also has equity experience, acting on both Hong Kong listings and SEC-registered offerings.

Zimmerman’s hiring comes as Proskauer seeks to sustain growth in the region. “Josh will enable us to provide our clients with an even deeper bench of international experience, including expanding our global high-yield bond and leveraged finance expertise and presence to Asia,” said Frank Lopez, global co-head of the firm’s capital markets group, in a statement.
