Pinsent Masons has hired oil and gas specialists Ashley Wright and Steve Potter as partners in Singapore. Wright joins the firm from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was a partner, and Potter joins from Jones Day, where he was of counsel.

Wright, who has 20 years of experience in Southeast Asia, has advised clients across the oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining and minerals and power sectors in Asia, Angola, India, Iran, Russia and the U.S.

Potter specialises in the oil and gas, petrochemicals and mining sectors with a particular focus on Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. He has more than 20 years of experience advising on M&A, joint ventures, industry contracts and resources-related regulation. Prior to Jones Day, Potter worked as senior counsel with Pertamina in Indonesia and Allens Linklaters in Australia.
