Technology, media, and telecoms-focused law firm Olswang is ramping up its technology and sourcing offering in Singapore with the arrival of senior partner Ian Ferguson from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in London.
Ferguson, who will be spending some time in London before relocating to Singapore, has experience in outsourcing transactions, advising both suppliers and customers. He also advises on technology and communications infrastructure and integration projects, electronic banking, e-commerce and data transmission arrangements, as well as on technology related acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures.
"We are delighted to welcome Ian to Olswang Asia,” said Rob Bratby, the firm’s Asia managing partner, in a statement. “I have known Ian for many years and his expertise in executing complex sourcing transactions for financial institutions complements and strengthens our existing outstanding regional TMT capabilities."
Prior to his stint at Pillsbury, Ferguson spent more than 25 years at Allen & Overy, where he was the global leader of its TMT practice.
