Morgan Lewis Stamford has added Edward Bennett as corporate and M&A partner in Singapore from Ashurst.

Bennett advises clients on private equity, M&A, capital markets secondary buyout, and refinancing matters.His experience also covers the structuring and formation of closed-ended buyouts, infrastructure, and mezzanine funds, secondary transfer of fund interests and subsequent closings, and carried interest structuring for investment funds.

At Ashurst, Bennett focused on cross-border strategic and investment transactions in Southeast Asia.

In 2015, Morgan Lewis expanded into Singapore with the establishment of Morgan Lewis Stamford, a partnership with Stamford Law Corporation. It marked the first time that a local outfit full integrated with an international firm.
