Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has hired Rishiraj Prasad Bhatt as a partner in its real estate practice in Mumbai from Kanga & Co.

Bhatt advises companies, realty developers, investors and high net-worth individuals on real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, assignments and leasing, and on regulatory compliance. He spent the entirety of his 17-year legal career at Kanga, becoming a partner there in 2013.

His hire is Cyril Amarchand’s fourth partner lateral in the past six months, following those of finance partners Jian Johnson and Okram Singha from ICICI Bank and Trilegal, respectively, and Lomesh Kiran Nidumuri as the head of its disputes practice in South India from IndusLaw.

The firm now has more than 160 partners across its offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, GIFT City and Singapore.
