Jude P. Benny, managing partner of Singapore law firm Joseph Tan Jude Benny (JTJB), has been appointed by the Myanmar government as a consultant for the drafting and review of the country’s maritime laws and regulations.

Benny, a veteran maritime lawyer, will work with the Department of Maritime Administration in Yangon to assist in the upgrading of archaic maritime laws to international standards.

JTJB is looking to open an office in Yangon soon.
