Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has hired former Paul Hastings corporate partner Christopher Betts at its Hong Kong office.

Due to join the firm in May, Betts will focus on M&A and capital markets, among other corporate matters.

Betts was previously general counsel at McKinsey & Co from 2006 to 2010, before joining Paul Hastings at the beginning of 2010, where he became partner in August the same year.

At Paul Hastings, Betts advised Far East Horizon – a financial leasing subsidiary of Chinese state-owned Sinochem Group – on its $757 million IPO in March 2011. He also assisted China Rongsheng Heavy Industries Group Holdings with its $1.8 billion IPO in 2010. ALB
