Nixon Peabody CWL has expanded its office in Hong Kong with the hire of solicitor and investment adviser Alvin So as a partner.
So, who previously ran his practice, So Lawyers, specialises in IPOs, M&A, regulatory compliance, corporate finance, and direct investment transactions. He established So Lawyers in 2016, after spending about a year at local firm Pang & Co. Before that, he practiced international and Hong Kong law firms, including Cheng Wong Lam & Partners.
So has advised on more than 100 IPOs and different forms of capital-raising exercises, as well as numerous M&A transactions and investment advisory projects for investors, listed companies, private equity investments, and hedge fund investments.
With the addition of So, Nixon Peabody CWL has 16 partners in Hong Kong. The U.S. firm established its Hong Kong office in 2010.
