Norton Rose has expanded its Singapore-based shipping litigation team with the relocation of partner Ian Teare from London.
As a dispute resolution partner, Teare specialises in advising on marine insurance, collisions, and salvage matters in addition to charter party and bill of lading disputes.
"We have seen a continued increase in maritime work in our Singapore office in recent years, triggered by the economic growth of Asia,” said Harry Theochari, group head of transport at Norton Rose, in a statement. “The shipping sector has a key role to play in facilitating trade between Asia and the rest of the world and many of our clients have been growing their presence in the region."
Teare's move takes number of full-time shipping litigation partners at Norton Rose in Singapore to three, and the total number of shipping lawyers in the Asia-Pacific region to 25. ALB
