O’Melveny & Myers has appointed disputes partner Friven Yeoh as the new head of the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Yeoh takes over from David Johnson, a capital markets partner, who will continue his work at the firm, splitting his time between the firm’s offices in Hong Kong and Century City, Los Angeles.
“Now that [David] will begin spending part of his time in Century City, we look forward to even greater collaboration between our China and U.S. capital markets practices.” said Bradley Butwin, O’Melveny’s Chairman, in a statement.
Yeoh, who joined O’Melveny in 2006 and was promoted to the firm's partnership in 2009, specialises in international arbitration, with a focus on China-related business disputes. He also represents clients in commercial litigation and regulatory investigations.
