Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has hired disputes lawyer Tim Haynes as a partner in Hong Kong from Kobre & Kim.

Haynes advises on cross-border management, shareholder, commercial, insolvency and corporate restructuring disputes connected to mainland China and Hong Kong under the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands.

Before joining Kobre & Kim in 2020, Haynes spent more than 11 years at another offshore firm, Walkers, becoming a partner in 2014, and leaving as the head of the insolvency practice. He was previously at Pacific Chambers and Baker McKenzie.

Haynes’ arrival brings the number of Carey Olsen partners in Hong Kong to four.
