Tumbuan & Partners, O’Melveny & Myers’ associated Indonesian firm has hired bankruptcy expert Debby Sulaiman as a partner from Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung.

Sulaiman, who will work out of Tumbuan & Partners’ Jakarta office, has almost a decade of experience in Indonesian dispute resolution. She specialises in bankruptcy and restructuring work, as well as litigation and antitrust cases. Sulaiman has worked on high-profile cases such as Arpeni, Davomas, Berlian Laju Tanker and Telkomsel.

In November 2011, O’Melveny formalised its longstanding referral relationship with Tumbuan & Partners. The latter firm’s senior partner Fred B.G. Tumbuan is one of the principal architects of Indonesia’s bankruptcy laws.
