Pinsent Masons has recruited Valerie Wu as partner at its Singapore office from Rothschild Trust Singapore, where she was director of wealth planning for Asia Pacific.
Wu, an expert in trust and fund work, specifically in relation to tax and business succession planning for big, privately-owned companies in Asia is expected to build Pinsent Masons’ tax practice in the country as well as collaborate closely with the tax investigations team. She had previous stints with Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee, as well as investment outfit Fullerton Fund Management.
“Singapore’s significance as a regional financial centre and Pinsent Masons’ international experience and local presence puts the firm in the best possible position to help clients looking to Asia for opportunities,” said Ian Laing, partner and Head of Asia, in a statement.
