Leading UK barrister Paul Darling OBE QC will join 39 Essex Chambers from Keating Chambers, where he was Head of Chambers from 2010 and 2015. 

Darling, who joined Keating Chambers in 1985, specialises in construction, energy and commercial law in every major jurisdiction. His wide-ranging practice that also includes international arbitration, property damage, professional negligence, procurement and sports law. 

He has also conducted many arbitrations in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Middle East and acted in ICC, LCIA HKIAC, SIAC and DIAC arbitrations.

Darling is a Bencher of the Middle Temple and chairman of the Association of British Bookmakers. He also had a previous stint as the chairman of the Technology and Construction Bar Association and the Sports Ground Safety Authority.

He received an OBE in 2015.
