Singapore’s RHTLaw Taylor Wessing has rehired corporate lawyer Richard Tan Kheng Swee as a partner from Australian boutique Barker Henley.

At his previous firm, he was managing director of Singapore Law Corporation, Barker Henley’s associated firm in the city-state, as well as a partner in the Australian partnership.

Tan earlier worked at Colin Ng & Partners, leaving that firm in March 2013 to join RHT for his first stint there. He left in October 2014 for Singaporean boutique Chris Chong & CT Ho Partnership, before becoming a partner at Barker Henley in 2016.

Tan has more than 14 years of experience in corporate, commercial and equity matters in Singapore and Australia, representing both listed and private companies.

Tan’s appointment is the latest in a string of partner-level hires by RHT. The firm added aviation expert Rajaram Ramiah as a partner from Quahe Woo & Palmer in December, and appointed Yang Eu Jin as the co-head of its capital markets practice in September.
