Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) has appointed Iain Anderson as a partner in Singapore from Ince & Co, where he headed that firm’s Asia Insurance and Reinsurance Group.

Anderson specialises in handling marine and offshore energy claims and coverage issues for insurers and reinsurers. His practice also includes work on political and trade credit insurance, as well as both dry and wet shipping disputes.

Based in Singapore since 2010, Anderson has more than 17 years of experience in the insurance industry.

“Iain is a landmark hire for us and underlines our commitment to growing in Singapore and helping our insurance clients with their needs globally,” said RPC Managing Partner Jonathan Watmough in a statement. “The support we have had from those clients since we opened in Singapore in 2011 has been fantastic. Iain's arrival significantly broadens our practice and will allow us to handle a much wider range of complex disputes, including in the marine and energy fields.”

Anderson’s hire takes the total number of RPC partners in Asia to four. The firm opened its Singapore office in 2011 and its Hong Kong office last year.
