Clyde & Co has hired Prakash Pillai as a partner in the firm’s Asia-Pacific international arbitration team in Singapore from Rajah & Tann, where Pillai was the head of the South Asia practice.

With expertise in international commercial arbitration and commercial litigation, Pillai has a focus on India and South Asia. He has experience in the aviation, automotive, financial services, engineering, projects and construction, IT/telecommunications and real estate sectors.

“The SIAC’s annual statistics consistently place India as one of the biggest users of the SIAC,” said Steven Lim, partner at Clyde & Co Clasis Singapore, in a statement. “Prakash has developed a leading India and South Asia practice focusing on international arbitration. I look forward to working with Prakash on our international arbitration and Singapore disputes practice. I have known him for many years, and he brings strong synergies to the practice.”
