Corporate partner Joseph Lee has left Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft’s Hong Kong office to rejoin UK firm Simmons & Simmons, where he had worked for seven years until 2007.

Lee specialises in M&A, private equity and securities work, with a particular focus on Hong Kong IPOs. He also advises on corporate restructurings, corporate governance and compliance issues.

Lee’s move comes a month after capital markets partner David Neuville left Cadwalader to rejoin Simmons & Simmons in Hong Kong, where he had worked from 2004 to 2007.

Both Lee and Neuville later worked together at Jones Day, before joining Cadwalader in May 2012, along with fellow Jones Day capital markets partner Jeffrey Maddox.

Simmons & Simmons added in a statement that a team of associates will also join the firm from Cadwalader in the next few weeks.

With the addition of Lee, Simmons & Simmons now has 18 partners in Hong Kong.
