Indian law firm Dhir & Dhir Associates has appointed former Seth Dua & Associates partner Rahul Goel as a retained partner in its corporate advisory group. Goel will be based in the firm’s New Delhi office.

Goel, who spent more than eight years as Seth Dua, will head Dhir & Dhir’s teams in matters related to competition/antitrust, anti-dumping, international trade and WTO, and advisory TMT.

Goel’s other areas of expertise include food and drug, and environmental law. He is also experienced in handling aerospace and defence, aviation, automotive, building material, chemicals, power, pharmaceuticals, paper, and telecom and technology matters.

“The firm's vision is to be recognised as one of the leading law firms in corporate advisory,” said Manju Mohotra, CEO of Dhir & Dhir, in a statement. “With Rahul coming on board, it is definitely a huge step forward. Adding new verticals to the practice areas is an essential element to the growth of any firm. Both competition and anti-dumping are extremely niche practice areas, and it gives us great amount of satisfaction and pleasure to see that he has had remarkable exposure to various industries across the board such as aerospace and defence, aviation, automotive, building material, chemicals, power, pharmaceuticals, paper, telecom and technology.”

Goel is Dhir & Dhir’s seventh partner, and joins the firm with Anu Monga, who was a senior associate at Seth Dua.
