Akin Gump has appointed Michael Joyce as a partner in its global energy and transactions practice in Singapore from Norton Rose Fulbright’s Sydney office. 

Joyce had a nearly 20-year stint with Norton Rose, where he headed the oil & gas group at the firm’s Sydney office. His experience includes acting for private sector and government clients on matters related to natural gas and oil value chains. 

He has also worked on power project matters involving the acquisition, development and operation of coal, gas-fired and renewable power projects, joint venture structuring and regulatory compliance issues.
