Dentons Rodyk & Davidson has appointed energy specialist John Dick as a partner in its Singapore office. Dick was previously with Ernst & Young Law's Singapore firm DA Partners.

Dick’s expertise includes areas such as resources, oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and M&A. He is a former managing partner of Herbert Smith Freehills’ Singapore office.

In September, DA Partners, led by Dick and partner Evangelos Apostolou, shut down just a year after it received a license to practice international law in Singapore. The closure left EY without an international law capability in the city-state. However, it maintains a a relationship with local firm PK Wong & Associates.
