Mayer Brown has welcomed banking and finance expert Soumitro Mukerji as a partner in Singapore from Hogan Lovells.

Mukerji, who will also be co-chair of Mayer Brown’s India practice, has advised on fund-level financing, leveraged and acquisition financing, general corporate financing and structured lending for nearly 15 years. Since 2019, he has advised on fund finance matters exceeding US$7 billion in value. 

Prior Hogan Lovells, Mukerji worked in London and Mumbai with law firms such as Linklaters and the erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co.

Following Mukerji’s hire, Mayer Brown now has 11 partners in Singapore.
