Linklaters has hired capital markets specialist Amit Singh as a partner in Singapore from Allen & Overy’s Hong Kong office.

Singh is the second capital markets lawyer to leave Allen & Overy’s Hong Kong office this month, after David Cameron joined Dorsey & Whitney as a partner.

Singh advises companies and investment banks on both equity and debt deals, and a significant chunk of his practice includes India DCM work. At Linklaters, he will continue to focus on South and Southeast Asia, working with the broader India practice, as well as the regional capital markets practice supporting Southeast Asia.

Linkaters’ capital markets team in Singapore, which works on equity and debt markets products such as high-yield bonds, MTNs and IPOs, currently has 14 lawyers, including partners Hyung Ahn and Jonathan Horan.

Singh, who started his career at Freshfields, spent six years as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. He joined Allen & Overy in 2011, and became a partner in 2014.
