Mayer Brown JSM has hired Yu-Jin Tay in Singapore from DLA Piper, where he was the co-chair of its international arbitration group from 2013 to 2016.

He will be joined by two arbitration associates from his former firm. Tay counsels across an extensive range of sectors, including construction, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and technology, as well as oil and gas and natural resources.

Prior to his DLA Piper stint, Tay was the head of Shearman & Sterling’s international arbitration practice in Asia.  

In January, Mayer Brown hired Robert Woll as a partner in its global corporate & securities practice and its fund formation and investment management group in Hong Kong from local law firm Deacons.

Last year, the firm hired Doo-Soon Choi as a banking and finance partner in Hong Kong from Ashurst.
