Norton Rose Fulbright has hired Colin Rice as a derivatives and structured finance partner for its Singapore office from Credit Suisse, where he was a director.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Rice worked with Allen & Overy in London, New York and Singapore.
Rice, who will join Norton Rose Fulbright’s Asia capital markets team, has experience in advising global investment banks, retail banks, funds, corporates and service providers in relation to derivatives, repos and stock lending, repackagings, strategic equity transactions and hedging. He also advises on the clearing of OTC derivatives, uncleared derivatives margin reform and collateral arrangements, default management and the impact of global financial markets regulatory developments on derivatives businesses and documentation.
“Colin is a great addition to the Singapore team. Clients are increasingly looking for legal services to be provided locally, and Colin will give us the derivatives capability we need on the ground in Asia,” said Jeff Smith, Norton Rose Fulbright’s head of South East Asia, in a statement.
