Stephenson Harwood has bolstered its intellectual property practice in Hong Kong after hiring Jonathan Chu as a partner from local firm William W.L. Fan & Co.

Chu, who specialises in contentious IP matters, also advises clients in sectors including entertainment, manufacturing, energy, media, retail and pharmaceuticals.

"Jonathan's considerable expertise in all matters relating to intellectual property—but particularly those relating to contentious matters—will complement our existing global practice,” said Eifion Morris, Stephenson Harwood partner and co-head of the firm's intellectual property team, in a statement.
