ZJ Jennifer Lim, a former disputes partner at U.S. law firm Sidley Austin, has joined Duxton Hill Chambers (Singapore Group Practice) as a member.
Lim will continue her focus on investor-state and international commercial disputes as both counsel and arbitrator. She will also represent clients in Singapore courts.
With over a decade of experience in international dispute resolution, Lim has represented clients in high-stakes arbitrations across various sectors, including energy, finance, and technology. She has handled cases under multiple arbitration rules, including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, HKIAC, SIAC, and LCIA. Her expertise extends to advising companies on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues, an area of growing importance in the face of increasing regulatory and litigation risks.
Lim joined Sidley Austin's Singapore office in 2020 and became a partner in January last year. Prior to that, she spent nearly seven years at Debevoise & Plimpton, working in that firm's New York and Hong Kong offices.
Duxton Hill Chambers, which operates on a pure chambers model in Singapore and the region, specializes in commercial, corporate and financial litigation, arbitration, public law, and public international law. It was established in 2021.
The move comes as Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a hub for international arbitration in the Asia-Pacific region.
