Norton Rose Fulbright has hired Sheela Moorthy, previously the head of corporate in Singapore at DLA Piper, as a partner.

Moorthy, who will be based in Singapore, has more than 20 years of experience in cross-border M&A transactions in Singapore, Indonesia, India, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam.

“Her dual qualification in England and Singapore is significant for the practice, and her experience in the energy, life sciences and technology sectors makes her a great fit for our team and our clients,” said Jeff Smith, head of Southeast Asia at Norton Rose Fulbright, in a statement.

In March, the firm renewed its Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) licence in Singapore for a further five years.
