Indian law firm Trilegal has added Faraz Alam Sagar as a partner in its dispute resolution practice in Mumbai from Economic Laws Practice (ELP), apart from promoting five lawyers to its partnership.

Sagar advises on, and conducts internal forensic investigations and corporate espionage investigations for corporate clients. Notably, he has advised one of India’s largest telecom service providers in the 2G scam criminal case.

Trilegal also promoted Upasana Rao, Aniruddha Sen and Rohan Ghosh Roy in the corporate practice, and Atul Gupta and Samsuddha Majumder in employment and tax respectively.

“Our expansion reiterates our commitment to India’s growing and exciting legal services industry and our focus remains strongly on enabling our clients to win in the market place”, said Anand Prasad, partner at Trilegal, in a statement.

The new additions take the partner count at Trilegal to 32.
