Indian law firm Trilegal has appointed Harsh Maggon as a partner in its corporate practice in Mumbai from rival AZB & Partners.

He is Trilegal’s second corporate partner hire this year. In January, the firm brought Arjun Ghose on board as a partner in Bengaluru from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

Maggon specialises in public mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. He advises on multiple takeovers involving open offers and schemes of arrangements across sectors and has also worked on delisting offers. He also advises on corporate governance issues in listed entities, control deals (including in distress situations), secondary exits and minority stake acquisitions.

Maggon joined AZB as a counsel in 2016 from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, where he was a principal associate in the public mergers & acquisitions team. Prior to this, he was a manager at DSK Legal.
