U.S. law firm Loeb & Loeb has hired commercial arbitration specialist Terence Wong as a partner in Hong Kong from Winston & Strawn.

Wong becomes the second disputes partner to leave Winston’s Hong Kong office in the past two months. In early June, litigator Christy Leung joined Commerce & Finance Law Offices’ Hong Kong association firm, Eric Chow & Co, as a partner.

Wong was at Winston for nearly five years, prior to which he spent 17 years at Hogan Lovells, leaving that firm as a partner.

With more than 20 years of experience in mainland China, Wong has appeared in matters before the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Shanghai International Arbitration Center, the Beijing Arbitration Commission, the American Arbitration Association, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the International Chamber of Commerce and the London Court of International Arbitration.

Wong also focuses on other dispute resolution mechanisms, such as mediation, expert determination and court proceedings. His clients are located in jurisdictions including Hong Kong, mainland China, the U.S., Singapore, the U.K., France, Indonesia, the Middle East, Nigeria, Tanzania and Venezuela.

His addition takes Loeb’s partner strength in Hong Kong to 15.
