VDB Loi has hired Myo Nyunt, a former director of Myanmar’s Supreme Court and appellate judge, as a senior counsel in its offices in Yangon and Naypyitaw.

Currently an advocate to the Supreme Court, Myo Nyunt is one of Myanmar’s most distinguished senior lawyers, and a specialist in commercial matters.

“We’re very happy to announce such a senior hire for our offices in Yangon and Naypyitaw,” said Jean Loi, managing partner of VDB Loi, in a statement. “Mr. Nyunt’s vast knowledge of the Myanmar legal system is a perfect complement to the existing team which comprises foreign and local lawyers and tax advisers. It really underscores the level of ‘on the ground’ experience we deliver.”

A specialised legal and tax services firm, VDB Loi has more than 50 lawyers and tax advisers in its offices in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
