Thailand’s Weerawong, Chinnavat & Peangpanor has appointed James Lawden as a senior counsel. Lawden, previously a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Bangkok, London and Tokyo offices, recently retired from that firm after 36 years.

Lawden has represented clients in Asia for over two decades, and his expertise includes M&A, joint ventures, as well as finance and capital markets.
