White & Case has expanded its corporate practice in Hong Kong with the hire of Kyungseok Kim from Linklaters.

Kim represents companies, funds and lenders on M&A and private equity transactions, as well as general corporate matters. He also advises Korean companies on their overseas transactions.

Prior to joining White & Case, Kim was a counsel in Linklaters’ Seoul office, which opened in May 2013.

In addition to his M&A and private equity capabilities, Kim will play an important role in enhancing White & Case’s relationships with Korean clients and continuing to build the firm’s brand in the Korean market, White & Case’s Asia head Eric Berg said in a statement.
