Newly merged Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co has hired project finance partner Shane Wilson from Vinson & Elkins in Dubai.

Wilson specialises in project finance, and has advised clients in the power, water, infrastructure, petrochemicals and metals sectors.

He recently advised sponsors Sumitomo Corp, Malakoff International and Cadagua on the financing of the Ghubrah independent water project in Oman.

Wilson is expected to boost the firm’s general banking, real estate finance, Islamic finance and other non-project related practices.

Before Vinson & Elkins, Wilson was at Norton Rose after relocating from London to Dubai in 2007.

Wilson joins corporate partner Tim Casben and dispute resolution partner James Foster in Wragge Lawrence Graham’s Dubai office.

Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co was created on May 1 this year, following the merger of Wragge & Co and Lawrence Graham.
