Alexandra Gerungan is a Partner dealing with litigation/dispute resolutions at Makarim & Taira S. She has successfully handled litigation and dispute resolution cases across highly diverse sectors.
Her experience ranges from civil lawsuits to arbitration; alternative dispute resolution; anti-corruption investigation; employment issues; land/property cases; insurance, banking and future exchange claims/disputes; police investigations (for example related to allegations of forestry and environmental crimes); and internal/independent investigations. She also advises on related matters such as due diligence and general investigations, liquidation, bankruptcy/suspension of payment, and land/property issues.
Drawing on her experience, she is moreover able to advise clients on transaction structures, agreements and general business practices with a view to preventing the emergence of future disputes or issues.
Alexandra is a frequent contributor to and a co-author of various reports, articles and publications on litigation, arbitration, alternate dispute resolution, environment matters, rule of law, compliance issues and labor law. Her articles have appeared internationally in Law Business Research, Global Legal Group and World Justice Project. She has also been invited as a speaker for seminars and workshops on litigation, arbitration, dispute settlement alternatives and insolvency.

Lina Amran is a Partner at M&T with over two decades of legal and commercial experience, specializing in Banking and Finance. Her areas of expertise include but are not limited to M&A, banking, restructuring, trade financing, credit insurance, and commodities trading. She is also familiar with electronic banking transactions, including issues related to e-payment in emerging digital economy.
She has a long and solid track record of advising and representing local and international banks as well as financial institutions in relation to various banking and financing legal matters, including liasing with governmental bodies. In 2003 she acted for major investors in Indonesian bank share in the acquisition of 51% shares of PT Bank Danamon Tbk from the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) and in the 2004 purchase of shares of PT. Bank Permata from PT. Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (Persero).
More recently her bank clients have included Tbk, PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk., PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Deutsche Bank AG, DZ Bank AG, and her non-bank clients have included companies from hospital and mining industries.
Lina is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI) and the Capital Markets Legal Consultants Association of Indonesia (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Pasar Modal - HKHPM). She is also a published author on Indonesian e-payments and the regulatory landscape.

Vincent Lie is a Partner at Makarim & Taira S. who combines broad legal experience with a keen sense for clients’ business context. Vincent is able to counsel clients with a view to their commercial objectives and the regulatory landscape. Besides handling traditional corporate practice areas, he is also familiar with fast-evolving growth sectors in Indonesia such as energy and the digital.
He has represented prominent companies in a variety of proceedings and transactions such as, but not limited to, corporate and commercial matters including acquisitions and project financing, bankruptcy dispute resolution, arbitration including enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, natural resources and energy (mining, oil and gas, power plants), and information technology/startups.
