Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and AZB & Partners have advised India’s Tata Steel on its $1.5 billion bond offering, while Linklaters represented the 12 banks that served as joint bookrunners and lead managers.
The dual-tranche offering, which is one of the largest bond issuances from India this year, includes $500 million of 4.85 percent guaranteed notes due in 2020, and $1 billion of 5.95 percent guaranteed notes due in 2024. The notes were issued by ABJA Investment Co. and guaranteed by Tata Steel Limited.
Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy acted as English counsel for Tata Steel and ABJA Investment Co., while AZB & Partners and WongPartnership advised on Indian and Singapore law, respectively.
