 Yeni Fatmawati is Corporate Legal Director of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, before Joining Unilever Indonesia, she was a Corporate Affairs & Legal Director of PT Sari Husada, Baby Nutrition Division, Danone Group. She has a legal professional background with over 18 years of experience. Before joining Sari Husada in 2005, Yeni has served as a lawyer specializing in M&A and capital market in Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners (affiliated with Baker & McKenzie). The solid experience in the Law Firm has brought her to move on as a Regio Counsel in PT Coca-Cola Indonesia and as a Senior VP Legal Counsel in PT GE Finance Indonesia.   She holds graduated Cum Laude with a Law Degree from Padjadjaran University, Bandung, West Java and Certified Masterclass EU Lobbying, Brussels, European Training Institute as well as she also joined Executive Education Program at Harvard Business Schools. Yeni was one of the founders of ICCA, Indonesian Corporate Counsel Association.  In the past committee she holds responsibility as Vice President of the Executive for two consecutive periods until appointed as Chairperson of ICCA Supervisory Board from 2008 until now. Currently, she also chairs the Indonesia General Counsel Club and a supervisory board member of Unilever Indonesia Foundation. She also one of the founders of International Society of Sustainability Professional (ISSP) – Indonesia Chapter.

 

Ricardo Simanjuntak

Ricardo Simanjuntak is a co-chairman in the Ntaional board of Chairmen of PERADI since 2010. He is also the founder of the Ricardo Simanjuntak & Partners Law Firm located at Kuningan – Jakarta. Ricardo received his law degree at the North Sumatra University, his master degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham and his doctorate degree in law at the Padjajaran University. In 2012, Ricardo was listed as a leading specialist in insurance, reinsurance and banking from AsiaLaw. Before his current role as founder of Simajuntak & Partners, he was the president of the Indonesian Receiver and Administrator Association (AKPI) from 2010 to 2013 and the chairman of the ASEAN Competition Institute of Indonesia until 2010.  Aside from these function, he is also fostering legal development and learning by being an educator for post graduate programs and an authorized mediator at the Indonesian National Mediator center (PMN). Ricardo is also a current member of the board of experts at the Indonesian Insurance Institutute (AMAAI) and of the legal drafting of the draft law of the Indonesia Civil Procedure of the Indonesia Ministry of Law and Human Rights. 

 

 

 

Mehendra Siregar

Mahendra Siregar, age 51, is the Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) since his appointment by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on 1 October 2013. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Economics from University of Indonesia in 1986, and received a Master in Economics from Monash University in 1991. Mahendra joined the Foreign Affairs Ministry in 1986 and was assigned to various postings including Economic Third Secretary of the Indonesian Embassy in London (1992-1995) and Information Counselor of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC (1998-2001).  He joined Coordinating Ministry in late 2001 as Special Assistant to the Minister. He was then appointed as Deputy Minister in charge of International Economic and Financial Relations in May 2005. He was then appointed as Chairman and CEO Indonesia Eximbank in September 2009 until December 2009. He was appointed as Vice Minister of Trade by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on 11 November 2009.Before his appointment as the Chairman of BKPM, Mahendra was Vice Minister of Finance since 19 October 2011. He was Asia representative at the UNFCCC Adaptation Fund Board between 2007-2009.He is President Yudhoyono’s Sherpa to the G-20 since London Summit 2009.

 

 

Johannes C. Sahetapy-Engel

Johannes is a specialist in cross-border transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions, with a subspecialties in oil and gas and labor and employment matters. Prior to forming AKSET, he was a partner at a major Jakarta law firm and worked for six years at international firms in Singapore, where he specialized in complex transactions. Johannes graduated from the Law Faculty of Airlangga University and is pursuing a post-graduate degree in law from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta.

Prof. Dr. Syed Abdul Hamid Aljunid is currently a CIFP Professor teaching Ethics and Governance. He joined INCEIF in April 2007.He obtained his PhD in 1980 from the University of Wisconsin, USA and has served as Dean of Faculty of Economics (1989 – 1996) and Director of Management Center (1995 – 1998) at the International Islamic University Malaysia till 1998. Prior to joining INCEIF, he was the President and CEO of University Tun Abdul Razak (June 2005 – February 2007), a private university based on E-Learning approach to education. His involvement in professional and voluntary organizations include Council Members and Honorary Treasurer of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (till present), EXCO of Malaysian Chapter of Transparency International (2000 – 2005), 2009 (August – present) – Chairman, Education, Examination and Exemption Committee (ACIFP), 2009 (August – present) – Deputy Chairman, Certification and CPD Board, Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC)

 

 

Krisdianto Nugroho

Mr. Nugroho has been working as in-house counsel in the Indonesian financial industry for 18 years. His experience mostly in the insurance industry and some exposure to commercial banking. He starts his career in 1996 with Lippo Life (*which then name changed to AIG Life and now known as AIA Financial), then in 2003 moved to Allianz Life before he is taking adetour to Citibank in 2004 where he gains commercial banking experiences. After Citibank, he comes back to the Insurance industry when he joins Cigna in 2007, and in 2013 he finally joins AIG as Country Head of Legal & General Counsel. During his professional career, other than gaining various legal/regulatory experiences, Mr. Nugroho also exposed to various non-legal experiences including compliance, risk-management, quality assurance and internal audit. Mr. Nugroho obtained his Bachelor of Law degree (S.H.) from University of Indonesia (Jakarta, 1997), and Master degree (LL.M) from Washington College of Law – American University (Washington D.C., 2001). While serving in Citibank, Mr. Nugroho has also passed 2 Level of Bank Risk Management Certification as required by the banking regulation for bank officers.

Rista Qatrini Manurung joined Sun Life Financial in 2008 as Legal and Compliance Director of PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia and Group General Counsel for Sun Life Financial group of companies in Indonesia. Prior to joining Sun Life Financial, Rista was announced Partner at Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono, Indonesian Legal Consultants. Currently Rista is also acting as the Head of Compliance and Membership of the Indonesian Life Insurance Association. She has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance, capital market, banking, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, insolvency, liquidation, suspension of payments, anti-monopoly, joint venture companies, contracts and litigation. Rista also has wide knowledge in life insurance shariah and has great roles in establishing shariah unit in Sun Life Financial. Rista holds a Law Degree from Faculty of Law of University of Indonesia, a Master’s Degree in International Law in Banking and Law Studies from Boston University, Massachusetts, USA, and a Master’s Degree in Management from University of Ikatan Pengusaha Wiraswasta Indonesia (IPWI) Jakarta. Rista is a registered Capital Market Consultant at Capital market and Financial Institution Supervisory Board. Rista holds an advocate license and is a member of the Indonesian advocate association (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia). Hilton has worked in Indonesia over 25 years, and is currently General Counsel to PT Sampoerna Strategic, a diversified Indonesian investment group, with interests in palm oil (and other crops), timber processing, microfinance, property, and mining.  PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk is listed on the IDX and Samko Timber Pte Ltd on the SGX. The highly regarded Putera Sampoerna Foundation is dedicated to improving access to and quality of education in Indonesia. Hilton began legal practice with the Australian firm Freehills, first in Melbourne and then in Singapore.  For 19 years from 1989 he was ‘foreign legal consultant’ to the Indonesian law firm Makarim & Taira S. Hilton specialized in project finance, M&A, investment and commercial law. In particular, he focused on infrastructure, energy & resources, foreign investment, manufacturing and financial services.  Hilton represented a number of the early IPPs in Indonesia both in the development phase and their restructuring phase following the late 90s Asian monetary crisis. And later he acted for the Cirebon sponsors, first of the ‘new generation’ IPPs. He represented various mining companies on Contract of Work, divestment, forestry and financing issues. He acted for successful bidders on several of the early Indonesian Government privatizations.

 

 

Arshella Mailoa

Arshella Mailoa is the Head of Legal Counsel with PT First Media Tbk (First Media), one of the largest broadband communication services providers and wireless 4G in Indonesia. Mailoa obtained her law degree from Parahyangan University in Indonesia. She later received a scholarship from the Australian Government to undertake her Masters degree at the University of New South Wales, during which time she also worked for Sydney law firm Potok & Co on a Native Title Representatives Bodies project. She recently completed her Graduate Certificate in Law at the University of Auckland to gain expertise of the common law practice in New Zealand. Prior to joining First Media in 2006, where she had the responsibility of establishing the company's legal team, Mailoa worked at Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners where she practised a broad range of capital market, corporate and commercial, tax and trade legal matters and specialised in securities and capital markets.
