Five Vietnamese law firms have come together to form the country’s first alliance of law firms, named the LawTeam Alliance (LTA).

The five firms are Bross & Partners, LuatViet, Phuoc & Partners, Rajah & Tann LCT Lawyers, and VLT Lawyers, who together have more than 200 legal professionals.

The firms will continue to operate independently, with the LTA functioning “solely on a goodwill basis built on fair competition and is a cooperative alliance comprising leading firms across the country,” said the firms in a statement, adding that the mutual aim is “furthering the development of the local legal market.”

Initiatives include a pooling of internal resources, collective team building activities and training sessions, which tap into each member’s core strengths, the statement said, adding that “further tie-ins with other major local law firms are in the works.”
